Chester Kroger Marketplace staffed by 360

CHESTER, Va. — Kroger held a grand opening for its Chester Marketplace store in the Chester area. The 123,000-square-foot store employs 360 people in full- and part-time jobs, and is the newest in the Richmond region.

The Kroger Marketplace provides 30,000 square feet for non-grocery products, including apparel, home décor, pet supplies, toys and baby and infant needs. It also has a cheese shop, a growler station with 12 rotating selections of local and craft brews, a wine department and wine bar with eight wines on tap for in-store tastings.

A Little Clinic staffed by board-certified nurse practitioners can diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for common illnesses. Additional services such as camp and sports physicals, health screenings and a number of vaccinations are also available.

Kroger invested $27 million in the superstore that includes a Kroger Fuel Center, a deli bistro with seating, a drive-thru pharmacy and a Starbucks kiosk, with seating area and free Wi-Fi.
